Our wall bead product range
Our range consists of oak or white primed wall bead.
Oak beads are highly durable and come in two finishes - unfinished and lacquered. Unfinished is ideal if you want to paint your wall bead, and lacquered makes sense if you want to keep the natural finish of oak while adding more protection to the bead's surface.
Our white primed wall bead is prepped and ready for painting, and is perfect if your budget is low.
Whatever length you need, you'll find it here - our wall bead is available in 1.0m lengths, all the way up to 4.2m.

FAQs
What is wall bead (hockey stick)?
Wall bead is a decorative moulding that adds a neat finish to your stairs by hiding the joints or space between your stair parts and walls. It's also great for smoothing any harsh edges along your stringers. Wall bead comes in many shapes, with hockey stick being just one - the name refers to the shape of the beading, as one side is flat, while the other curves outward just like a hockey stick.
How do you attach wall bead?
You can use either nails or adhesive, or a combination of the two, to firmly fix your wall bead in place. We recommend doing both as your stairs experience plenty of foot traffic, meaning wear and tear is more likely. To install, simply apply a layer of strong wood adhesive to the back of the oak wall bead and press it firmly into position, ensuring it's straight by using a level. Then, when the adhesive has dried, hammer in a series of nails along the wall bead - aim for one nail every 30cm to prevent it from loosening.
Why choose oak wall bead?
Given its many incredible benefits, you simply can't go wrong with oak beading.
Oak hockey stick wall bead offers a beautifully natural and timeless feel to suit a range of interior decor. Oak's golden tones bring warmth to your home decor and add style to room interiors, as well as neatly finishing your staircase.
It's also super hard-wearing, making it ideal for use on high-traffic areas such as your staircase.
